25 and all that goes with it!

Wow! What a week that I have had. I was scheduled to work upwards of 55 hours this past week, but due to a few other obligations by the parents it was knocked down a bit. At first I was upset with it, but then realized it was for the best as I was starting to feel over worked/run down and getting sick. I am feeling a lot better so I am not sure if I was coming down with a cold or allergies.

Anyways, Thursday, May 20, 2010 I officially hit my mid twenties. I am not too sure how I feel about this, but not like I can do anything about it, right. ;-) I am in a whole new "age bracket"! As of now it really hasn't hit me like I thought it would, but then again it is still "fresh". lol

Thursday I worked until 3:30 and when I got home I really wanted to do something to celebrate, but Andrew was going to go to a baseball game (totally cool with that), my friend Danielle was working late, and so was my friend Nicole. Andrew ended up calling me once he got off work and told me he was on his way to Wal-Mart and we started talking about our respective days. Mean while he had to get off the phone to go into Wal-Mart and I decided I was just going to order a pizza, catch up on some television, and do a couple loads of laundry. Andrew called me back about 15 minutes later and we continued our conversation. He then proceeded to say "Oh crap! I can't find my phone charger. I think I left it on your patio the other day." I then told him that I thought he was crazy and that if he had it probably wasn't any good. Andrew asked if I would please check to make sure, so the awesome girlfriend that I am headed to the patio door. As I get ready to open the door I see Andrew in the parking lot talking to me on the phone. I lit up like a fire cracker, dropped the phone, ran down five flights of stairs (barefoot) out into the parking lot and just jumped into his arms. I was incredibly surprised and not expecting to see him at all since it was a week day and we had plans to go to the "Jake" on Friday. We ended up going to see the movie "Date Night", which was hilarious. We had been trying to see that movie for a few weeks now and our schedules would not allow. After the movie we ordered a pizza from Pizza Hut, went back to my apartment and put my present together. He bought me an AMAZING card and a multi-media storage unit to house my DVDs. Over all it was a great night and I am incredibly thankful to have such a wonderful man in my life. :-)

Friday to celebrate my birthday we; (Andrew, great friends Danielle, and Cyndi, and their boyfriends; Peter and Chris) went down to the "Jake" to watch the Indians take on the Cinci"nasty" Reds. It was a lot of fun! We had great seats and were sheltered from the rain. After the game there were fireworks, which it was my first time seeing them from the "Jake". After we left the stadium the night was still young so we all headed down to the Winking Lizard. One of my all time favorite restaurants. Great food, company of friends, and Mr. Wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better time. It was great to be with amazing people.

All in all I look forward to what the year of 25 will bring. :-)

  1. I am glad that you enjoyed your 25th birthday and got to celebrate it with just about everyone. I hope the next year of your life gets even better! I'm glad to be a part of your life, and I'm glad that you are glad to have me in yours. :-) Now that I've said "glad" four times (no - five, now!), I think I'll leave it at that.
