Wow! I have recently come back to blogging after over four years! A lot has changed over the years, so I will give you the most recent updates.
I graduated in August from Kent State University (Main Campus) with a degree in Sport Administration with a minor in Business. Graduation was a whirl wind of an experience. It also flew by very quickly. Five years in the making and in about two hours it's over! The good thing is that I have a piece of paper which will serve as a great reference for the rest of my life (I hope)!
In October, I took on a Nanny position outside of Cleveland, OH. I moved into my apartment, and things have been looking up ever since. I recently took on another family who have two children. I am also starting with another family later this week. The children I have been working with are amazing, and so are the families. I would do anything for these children, and at times, I think of them as my own. It's amazing how they can lift you up and tug at your heart strings. Mind you this is not my dream job (making a living watching other people's children), but with the economy as of late, it has been hard to find my "dream job", or a better paying job using my B.S. degree. As for now, it pays the bills and keeps me happy.
November was an awesome start to the end of the year. I met a great guy named; Andrew. Well our first official meeting was December 5, 2009. We went to see the movie "The Blind Side" (amazing movie - but I am probably a bit partial since I am a huge sports fan!), we also went to dinner at Applebee's. After a couple months of dating we decided to make it official on January 10, 2010. Since the start of our talking and meeting, everything has been AMAZING! (Again, I am probably pretty partial as well). Andrew is a Computer Programmer, and works for a great company in Northeast Ohio. He too is into sports, religion, laughing and having a great time. We have clicked on many different levels.
The end of March was a hard time for myself and my family. On March 30, 2010 my grandfather passed away, due to Kidney Failure. He and my grandmother would have been married 58 years this summer, he was 77 (78 this summer as well). It has been very rough on the family in many ways, but I know the power of love and our father above will get us through it. I miss him everyday, but I know he is no longer in pain and is able to be with four of his five siblings, parents, in-laws and great friends.
Over all, things have been AMAZING! I hold out for many more great adventures to come.
God Bless!
