Wow! What can I say except that exhaustion has definitely hit me, and hit me hard. No, I am not working 40+ hours during the week; well at least not yet, but it will be pretty close within the upcoming weeks. I don't look at what I do as the most exhausting thing out there, but it does take a toll on one's mind and body. Oh well, time is money, right?
My weekend was low key, but perfect - well perfect in the low key sense. On Friday I went to see Judson Laipply who is the creator of "Evolution of a Dance", and he is an inspirational/motivational speaker. Ursuline College was putting on the event in part of "Big Fun Friday", it was a successful event and a lot of fun was had. I then went to watch Lauren and Chris play softball. They ended up winning with a score of 16-4. On Saturday I drove to Conneaut to pick up Amanda and I stopped to see my grandmother and to visit my grandfather's grave. It was different being back in town, but within time it will get better - I hope. I ended up getting back to Solon, right before I was to work at 6:00. Great night with some awesome kids. After work Andrew came up when he was finished with his poker game. I am proud to say he pulled out a big win and took the top spot! Congratulations! Sunday was a weird day. I was in a funk for awhile and my words and actions weren't really the best. In the end though I was glad I was able to talk to Andrew, and get things figured out. I am so lucky to have such an amazing, wonderful, supportive, and encouraging boyfriend in my life. Hopefully I don't do anything to screw it up. He makes me smile in the greatest ways, I can't stay mad or frustrated at him for very long because he makes me laugh so much, and he has this way of making everything right again. :-)
Well, I am off - Time to get some sleep!
God Bless

One step forward, two steps backwards ...
This week has been busy, but not as busy as the weeks to come. My schedule has picked up and I am working more hours and with more people. Don't get me wrong I LOVE working and it keeps me moving. The issue I have is working on the weekends. I am more than willing to work Monday-Friday from dawn to dusk. Yet, I am human and have a life as well, so for the most part I would love to keep my weekends free for myself and those in my life. I don't mind working the occasional Saturday, as we all need a little break from the everyday pace, but I am about to be 25 years old; when is it my time to start my life, find who I want to be in this world and what I want to do? I know what I do is short term (at least in my eyes), because I didn't go to school for five years to watch children who are not mine. Yes, I love what I do and it's good money, but I want something more constant. I also have a few things as to why I won't leave right now either, so I am happy I at least have work. I am happy over all with where my life is heading. I am just stressed out that every time I try to do something "great" for myself it is not liked by others. I don't know I suppose it's just life ...

In Four Years ...
Wow! I have recently come back to blogging after over four years! A lot has changed over the years, so I will give you the most recent updates.
I graduated in August from Kent State University (Main Campus) with a degree in Sport Administration with a minor in Business. Graduation was a whirl wind of an experience. It also flew by very quickly. Five years in the making and in about two hours it's over! The good thing is that I have a piece of paper which will serve as a great reference for the rest of my life (I hope)!
In October, I took on a Nanny position outside of Cleveland, OH. I moved into my apartment, and things have been looking up ever since. I recently took on another family who have two children. I am also starting with another family later this week. The children I have been working with are amazing, and so are the families. I would do anything for these children, and at times, I think of them as my own. It's amazing how they can lift you up and tug at your heart strings. Mind you this is not my dream job (making a living watching other people's children), but with the economy as of late, it has been hard to find my "dream job", or a better paying job using my B.S. degree. As for now, it pays the bills and keeps me happy.
November was an awesome start to the end of the year. I met a great guy named; Andrew. Well our first official meeting was December 5, 2009. We went to see the movie "The Blind Side" (amazing movie - but I am probably a bit partial since I am a huge sports fan!), we also went to dinner at Applebee's. After a couple months of dating we decided to make it official on January 10, 2010. Since the start of our talking and meeting, everything has been AMAZING! (Again, I am probably pretty partial as well). Andrew is a Computer Programmer, and works for a great company in Northeast Ohio. He too is into sports, religion, laughing and having a great time. We have clicked on many different levels.
The end of March was a hard time for myself and my family. On March 30, 2010 my grandfather passed away, due to Kidney Failure. He and my grandmother would have been married 58 years this summer, he was 77 (78 this summer as well). It has been very rough on the family in many ways, but I know the power of love and our father above will get us through it. I miss him everyday, but I know he is no longer in pain and is able to be with four of his five siblings, parents, in-laws and great friends.
Over all, things have been AMAZING! I hold out for many more great adventures to come.
God Bless!
